The Health Reform Workshop is a practical reform initiative focused on strengthening Australia’s health, aged care, and supported living systems. It has been developed by people with direct experience across the sector, including registered nurses, medical professionals, private health insurance employees, and others who understand the pressures facing patients, families, and frontline staff.
The project has been created in response to growing concern that Australia’s health systems are becoming increasingly fragmented, overstretched, and unable to meet the needs of the community. The Health Reform Workshop brings together practical ideas for structural reform, with a focus on integrated care, workforce sustainability, patient flow, aged care capacity, and long-term public benefit.
The Health Reform Workshop is guided by the principle that health systems should put people first. It does not exist to protect the status quo or narrow commercial interests. Its purpose is to contribute to a stronger, fairer, and more coordinated system that delivers complete care for Australians and supports future reform in the national interest.
